World Ocean Day

June 8 is a special day for me. It’s World Ocean Day. It’s World Ocean Passive Acoustic Monitoring Day. This is… exactly what I do and care about. Listening to the Ocean, paying attention to the Ocean, sharing the Ocean’s stories.

Last year, a major contribution I made to this effort was… a new human. My son worked hard to be born on this day, and is embracing his birthday’s connection with the Ocean through an obvious love of water, and sound. I hope that he will continue to be an ambassador for healthy seas!
