Heather on the Going In Blind Podcast

Zach Tidwell and I spent an hour and a half in a recorded interview… and then we kept talking afterward. His questions were complex and surprising and made me think. And he was okay with me asking him some questions too. His story is a startling one, and yes he is blind, and no he wasn’t born with it. He’s blind because he shot himself. While it wasn’t the purpose of the conversation, of course we ended up talking about sensory experiences. (and studying things dead versus alive, human-machine interfaces, what technology can and can’t do, why you should talk with people who fish for a living, what makes us angry… )
